  • There is a video on Xbox One console that explains how it'll work.
It's actually an Xbox 360 emulator that will be FREE to download onto the Xbox One.
You can thus log into your Xbox 360 profile in the emulator having access to EVERYTHING that is currently on your Xbox 360 console, apps, games, avatars stuff etc.

To play the Xbox 360 disc games, you insert the disc into the Xbox One console, the emulator then does a search on the Xbox One database for Xbox 360 games that are playable on the Xbox One and when successful, you can play the game.

With digital games that are on your Xbox 360 profile, it's exactly the same, the emulator does a search on the Xbox One database to see if you can play the game and when successful, you can play it.

The library is apparently still small, but growing, Microsoft says it will take some time to include ALL Xbox 360 games(due to licensing from other developers and name changes) but soon we will all be able to play our rare and beloved Xbox 360 titles.

Look forward to playing all that XBOX 360 free Gold games on the XBOX ONE! It is a pitty that South Africa does not get a Game with Gold this month of July 2015 on the 360, The rest of the world get to play plants vs Zombies, we only get to rate the game. hardly fair!
