  • It is a sad reality and unfortunately no project is without weaknesses. These SMART Boards weigh over 100kgs, so they are by no means a "quick steal" and efforts are been made to enhance security. What we need to remember is that 100 of the boards have been stolen out of just over 2000 that have been installed, the impact that this has already had on the transformation of the class is amazing. Over 12 000 teachers are currently been trained on how to use the SMART boards and deliver lessons that transform learning. In a year since this project kicked off, we have seen an increase in the quality of results, improved discipline, because there is a sense of pride and ownership and the true measure is that this is creating a love for learning and teacher. So yes sadly boards have been stolen. But Lesufi's vision is making an impact.
